# Cookie Login

> The recommended login method — works on any Minecraft version

We send you a Netscape cookie file. That file **is** the login. It proves you're signed into Microsoft as the alt. Works on every Minecraft version, lasts way longer than a token, and you don't need an email or password.

## Option A: Client with Built-in Cookie Import

<Note>
  **Easiest method** — Some clients have cookie login built right into their account manager. No browser, no extension.
</Note>

* **Rise Client** — Account Manager → *Add Account* → *Cookie* → paste → done
* Several other modern ghost/utility clients ship the same feature — check your client's Accounts UI

## Option B: Browser Cookie Injector

If your client doesn't support cookies directly, do it manually through a browser.

    Get [Cookie Quick Manager](https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cookie-quick-manager/) (Firefox addon)

  <Step title="Open the Extension">
    Click the **Extensions** icon in your Firefox toolbar, then click **Cookie Quick Manager**, then click **Manage**

  <Step title="Import Cookies">
    In the bottom-left corner, click the **third button from the left** (looks like an export icon), then click **Restore cookies from a file** and select the cookie file you got from MOG Alts
  </Step>

  <Step title="Verify Login">
    Open [minecraft.net](https://www.minecraft.net/) — you should see the alt's username in the top-right
  </Step>

  <Step title="Launch Client">
    Use a client that supports cookie login (Rise, etc.) and log in there. The official Minecraft Launcher does **not** work — it forces a fresh Microsoft sign-in and ignores the browser session.

## Troubleshooting

    Make sure you're using Firefox with Cookie Quick Manager. Chrome extensions work differently. Also verify you selected the correct .txt file from your purchase.

  <Accordion title="minecraft.net shows wrong account">
    Clear your existing minecraft.net cookies first, then re-import. Old session data can conflict.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Client still asks for password">
    The official Minecraft Launcher doesn't support cookie login. Use Rise or another client with native cookie import.
